The Faculty of Engineering is the oldest and largest faculty at Jordan University of Science and Technology. It hosts about 178 faculty members, 61 supporting staff, and about 5000 undergraduates and graduate students. The faculty includes 61 research and teaching labs. The Faculty aims to qualify competent engineers for the local, regional and international job markets. All of available facilities provide students with the hands-on education needed to solve the complex problems facing the society. The Faculty graduates are prepared not only for the first job, but for a rewarding career, and they are highly sought after graduation by companies because they are more than technical specialists; they are excellent communicators and strong leaders. The Faculty environment for teaching, and learning is stimulating, interactive, and innovative. The faculty shows eagerness to recruit dedicated and qualified faculty members who are committed to undergraduate education, and are leaders in their respective fields.

The Faculty adopts a dynamic strategic plan that aims at guarantying quality assurance of its programs and keeping its excellence and leadership in engineering education in Jordan and worldwide. Towards this end, all the eight undergraduate degree programs in the Faculty of Engineering have been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET of the United States of America. Also, the faculty is committed to the accreditation criteria set by the higher Education Accreditation Commission, Jordan (HEAC).
