Today, medicine has never been more exciting or challenging. The 21st century promises to increase the challenges. We at FMJUST recognize the need for constant innovation and dedication to meet increasing medical challenges.
FMJUST houses 11 clinical departments and 5 basic science departments. The faculty and staff in each of these departments are dedicated to fulfilling all of the Faculty's mission.
Our faculty members are committed to teaching both the science and the art of medicine. Throughout the first three-years of our curriculum they integrate basic medical sciences through an organ system approach. During the last three years students develop their diagnostic and treatment competencies in a variety of supervised inpatient and outpatient settings. Every aspect of our curriculum is designed to introduce our students to an array of skills necessary for a lifetime of critical evaluation and learning and to provide them with a strong foundation they will need to become competent physicians in our rapidly changing world.
As Dean, it is my privilege to steward FMJUST mission. I am increasingly finding that our success in undergraduate medical education requires the continuous utilization of quality improvement approach to address different problems, as well as, integration of team learning, and state-of-the art innovations in medical education. Our every day challenge is to weave all of these elements into a distinctive and excellent undergraduate experience. Our final success depends on the involvement of anyone and everyone with an interest and an ability to contribute.
I welcome your interest in our faculty and encourage you to explore all the opportunities we offer with the hope that this website provides you with the information you seek. If you wish further information or have questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact us.
